Update from ESOMAR 2026 Conference in Nairobi

This message was sent by our MSRA Secretariat:

📌 Africa 2026 was a powerful moment for our industry — and we are proud to have been a part of it!

Having members of the MSRA Board, Emily Were, Althea McCourt and Daniel Ogechi in attendance meant more than just showing up. It meant listening, learning, and staying closely connected to the conversations shaping the future of market and social #research across the continent.

From the discussions around localization and trust, to innovation, affordability, and the realities of scaling in African markets, the insights coming out of the Africa in Focus conference reaffirmed something we deeply believe at MSRA: Africa cannot be approached as a one-size-fits-all market.

What stood out most from the feedback shared by the team was the clarity around this — meaningful growth in Africa is built on local context, cultural nuance, and solutions designed for Africa, not imported into it.

We are grateful to ESOMAR for convening such an important platform, and to our team for representing MSRA with thoughtfulness and purpose. The conversations sparked there will continue to inform how we show up for the industry. 📌
