When you’re able to transport tablets across the “challenging” borders of Somaliland in order to conduct an important Quant project for our demanding Clients, we can definitely boast that “We Know Africa!”
Thanks to our Senior Field Coordinator, Emmanuel Bita, who was personally tasked to oversee this project, all deliverables for our Client were obtained although there were some technical challenges due to geography which his team was able to overcome.
Here are of some Emmanuel’s thoughts from his time on this project:
“Somaliland is a very peaceful region that is vibrant place and also very safe. The Internet works very well, so people there are able to conduct online jobs.
The majority of people here can speak English. They are conversant in English so any foreigner won’t have any issues with language or communications.
For Internet, we used 4G mobile services from SomTel which is the most popular mobile telecom provider in the area.”
