Here’s an interesting research project that came across our desk a few weeks ago. The purpose was to obtain consumer feedback from Kenyans relating to the very competitive Beauty and Hair Care industry.
On this project, our client tagged along with our field team in order to observe the feedback from the respondents that included hair dressers and consumers who use their products on a daily basis.
We talked to the consumers in order to understand how they use said products. Next, we visited beauty salons throughout Nairobi to see and also talk to hairdressers who use our client’s beauty products.
At the conclusion of this project, our team made the following observation:
It is interesting to know, that unlike a few years ago, the new generation of Kenyans are more concerned with their image and appearance. Also, they are more likely to buy high quality hair and beauty products compared to past generations where their main concern was price.
